Junior Pennants began two weeks ago with our juniors winning the first week & losing the second week. They are the future of our Club & representing it with pride.
Senior Pennants A, B & C Grade began on Sunday 12th February with high hopes for our representatives. Dave Stretton has offered free group coaching for all pennant players (arranged by team captain) many thanks Dave, for your generosity.
Course Volunteers
(Dad’s Army)
We are fortunate to have a band of men & women who do regular maintenance on our course & gardens. The regulars were supported by extras recently when we asked for assistance when laying the turf on the temporary 13th & 14th Greens. Many thanks to all who helped.
After the Morisset Open the Green Staff plan to begin work on the 14th Green & drainage lines on the 15th Green.
They will need HELP, if you have time, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Closer to the work in early March details of times will be notified on the Board near the Pro Shop.
Repairing the 13th Green Vandalism
The Country Club Insurance Company is in the process of making a decision from the two companies who have quoted on a full repair of the Green. This decision should be made in the near future with the Country Club Excess of $5000 going toward the quotes of approx $40,000. Nathan expects the new bent turf to take approx 10/12 weeks to be available for play. In the mean time a temporary couch green will come into play in early March.
Good Golfing
